UYE Summer Camp Recap

We took over 50 Elevate students to a Young Life Summer Camp.
Many were in prayer and the Lord moved, as he faithfully and graciously does. 34 students responded to the call to follow Jesus after camp.
“In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
– Luke 15:10

Brief Recap of the week:

We should begin this report by thanking the donors who provided scholarships for over 20 students and 10 staff. Without these resources, we couldn’t have done the work the Lord has called us to. Throughout the weekend, we saw the seeds we planted throughout the semester blossom into decisions for Christ. Many students decided to strengthen their walk with the Lord, others professed faith in Christ for the first time, and others left interested and wanting to know more. Additionally, our staff at camp met almost every morning to pray for the students throughout the week, thus experiencing a rich time of fellowship. We watched the Lord move, grew as a staff and left encouraged to continue this work come August. We hope  more of you can join us at winter / summer camp next year!

It was a joy to see Ken and Andrea Kortman as they joined us at camp to fellowships and witness first hand all that the Lord was doing.

Student and Staff highlight: Anthony and Will

Anthony had one-on-ones with multiple campers throughout the week, allowing them to open up and go deeper. In particular, he was able to have multiple conversations with a camper named Will, who had various struggles awaiting him at home. Anthony counseled him to utilize the tools God has blessed him with to make choices that honor the Lord.
